Arrived Shell Harbour and having a beer. Thank you very much Detlef. Hopefully you will be able to jolin me again soon on another trip.
1300 Hrs
33 44 S, 151 28 E, Just 10 Nm NE of Sydney heads. That gives us around 60 Nm to Shell Harbour. We have slowed a little since passing Port Stephens as the current has dropped off to nothing, its been quite a good run since Coffs with about 2-3 Kts of assistance. Anyway ETA looks like just after midnight tonight. All is fine

Sunday March 26 2023, 1230 Hrs
30 47 S, 153 12 E, Around 8 Nm NE of Trial Bay. Under engine again since leaving Coffs this morning. Repairs to the water system went fine but delayed leaving with frequent squalls last night so we left it until the tide turned this morning. All is well with the wind to turn to the NE this afternoon / evening.
Saturday March 25 2023, 0930 Hrs
Coffs Harbour fuel dock. We didn’t actually need fuel but topped up anyway. The reason to stop was that a hose came off the freshwater system and was pumping water into the bilge. As the hose was at the back of the engine it was too hot to access. Anyway Detlef knows what I’m like if I cant have my coffee so for sanity’s sake have stopped to rectify the hose and should be on our way again after cooling and repairs. Will update when again underway.
Friday, 24 March 2023, 1400 Hrs
27 58 S, 153 29 E We left Southport Yacht Club at 1300 Hrs Sydney time. Its taken about 3 hrs to post this update due to computer issues but am slowly sorting stuff out. Anyway all is well after fueling up and checking through and familiarising ourselves with the boat. We are now around 15 Nm North of Byron Bay under engine in light winds. Will update again tomorrow.
Thursday, 23 March 2023, 0830 Hrs
Leaving Manly. Heading down to the Gold Coast seaway where we will top up fuel and have a few hours at anchor before leaving the Seaway and heading South on Friday Morning. The wind is expected to start blowing from the NE to get us underway. Welcome aboard to Detlef ! Its been a few years since we last sailed together so looking forward to a good catch up along the way.
