30 00 S, 153 23 E, Just passed north solitary island which is about 20 Nm North of Coffs’ Currently a little bit of head-sail up under engine still, but the wind is gradually building. We have made reasonable progress with the current assisting so making a bit over 5 Kts average. All is well

Wednesday, 25 October 2023, 0900 Hrs

25 59 S, 153 23 E, Currently 10 Nm SE of Double Island Point. Had a good run in a light following breeze. Finally a bit of the East Australian Current and engine to assist. This breese is predicted to increase this afternoon from the North so hopefully can give the engine a rest and be in Manly late tonight. Provisions are low but not expecting to eat the Cabin Boy today.

24 02 S, 152 48 E, Just passed Lady Elliot Island 7 Nm to the SE, Pleasant calm waters motor sailing towards Fraser Island.

Anchored safely at Lady Musgrave Island. A bit of a swim and a walk around the island before a BBQ on board and a well earned sleep tonight.

Sunday, 22 October 2023, 1545 Hrs

Leave Roslyn Bay, We will be loosing the internet again in a few hours and then will be out of range for another 48 hours before picking up reception again off Fraser Island. Tomorrow night will be spent at anchor as its been a bit tiring hand steering till now and will be worth giving the crew a break. Next update probably on Tuesday Night

0700 Hrs

22 43 S, 150 52 E, 25 Nm North of Yeppoon. Sorry for no update yesterday however back in normal reception now. Planning to make a quick stop for fuel and Ice etc before heading off again as soon as possible. A bit slow so far as the wind has stayed from the SE, fortunately light and have been under engine since leaving. Northerlies are forecast to come in this afternoon and the next few days. All is well. Will update again today after everything is sorted.

Friday, 20 October 2023, 1000 Hrs

Leaving Airlie Beach, fuel topped up and away. A slight hitch with the aft head not working however after dropping anchor we were able to locate a fuse that was tripped so now it up with the anchor and off we go again. Updates when able most days.

The plan is to now top up fuel in the morning and be under way by 1000 hrs Friday. The wind has not abated too much yet but should have certainly over night. Update once underway.

1000 Hrs

A few last minute supplies and preparations before we expect to be underway this afternoon. There has been a fairly strong SE wind which has delayed out departure but that is expected to start dropping off this evening. Welcome aboard Naeus, Ben and Peter
